List of Senators

Born on 19th September 1954 in Rybnik.

In 1981 graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the Silesian Medical Academy in Katowice. Obtained Specialization Level II in gynecology and obstetrics. In 1998 graduated from the Economics and Management in the Healthcare Faculty at the University of Economics in Katowice.

Began work in 1982 at the Mining Healthcare Complex in Jastrzębie-Zdrój. Between 1984 and 1994 worked in the Healthcare Complex in Rybnik. From 1994 works in the Provincial Specialist Hospital no 3 in Rybnik, 1997–2001 –  was its executive director. Since 2005 to 2007 was a secretary of the state in the Ministry of Health.

Between 1994 and 1998 was deputy chairman of Rybnik City Council.

2001–2013 – deputy to the Sejm. In the Fourth Term worked in the Health Committee, in the Sixth and Seventh Term – was its chairman. During his service as a deputy to the Seventh Term Sejm he stood for a by-election to the Senate.

Between 1981 and 1982 was a member of the Independent Association of Students at the Silesian Medical Academy. Member of the Solidarity Trade Union since 1989.

Member of the Law and Justice political party and chairman of its district in Rybnik.

Married, has three children.
