Born on 14th March 1947 in Stany Nowe.
He graduated from Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry of the Maria Skłodowska-Curie University in Lublin in 1973. In 1977 he received a PhD in mathematics, in 1994 – a title of doctor habilitated. In 2002 he was promoted to associate professor. In 1992 he became an assistant professor in Department of Mathematics in University of Joensuu in Finland.
Between 1973 and 1976 was working on his PhD thesis in the Institute of Mathematics of Polish Academy of Sciences. He worked as a teacher in Secondary School no. 3 in Łódź (1975–1976) and in primary school in Huta Józefów (1984–1985). Between 1976 and 1987 he lectured in the University of Maria Skłodowska-Curie in Lublin. From 1987 to 1995 he was a research assistant in the Institute of Mathematics of Polish Academy of Sciences. Between 1991 and 1993 he was an associate professor at the University of Joensuu in Finland and Hokkaido University in Osaka, Japan. In 1997 and 1998 he was an advisor on IT and database organization in the Chełm Cement Works. As an associate professor, he lectured in: Academy of Economics in Nisk (1998–2004), Business Academy in Nowy Sącz (1999–2000), State School of Higher Vocational Education in Jarosław (1999–2001), University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszów (1999–2001) and in the University of Rzeszów (2005–2006). Between 1999 and 2001 he was a dean of Faculty of Economics and Management of the Academy of Foreign Languages and Economics in Częstochowa. Since 1996 he has been associate professor in the Catholic University of Lublin, and from 2001 – the rector of the State School of Higher Education in Chełm.
He is a mathematician, specialist in the field of application of complex analysis and mathematical economy. He published over 90 scientific works in national and international journals, as well as 2 manuals on navigation and on aviation phraseology. He is a reviewer in “Mathematical Reviews”, an electronic database and a journal published by American Mathematical Society.
He is a vice-chairman of Public Vocational Schools Rectors Conference, a member of Accreditation Committee of the Polish Universities Rectors Conference, as well as a member of the State Accreditation Committee Team for cooperation with employers.
He belongs to the "Darz Bór" Hunting Association in Janów Lubelski.
He received a Cavalier's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta.
