Member of the Seventh Term Senate

Born on 25th January 1959 in Staniątki.
In 1987 graduated from the Medical Faculty of the Medical Academy in Cracow. In 1996 obtained Level II Specialization in internal diseases.
In 1988–1989 worked at the healthcare unit in Cracow Pogórze. 1991–1999 – worked at Jagellonian University Collegium Medicum; between 1999 and 2005 – at the University Hospital in Cracow. At present works as volunteer doctor at that hospital. In 2005 was director of Małopolskie Public Health Centre in Cracow.
In 2006–2007 was governor of Małopolskie Province.
In the Seventh Term Senate was deputy chairman, then chairman of the National Defence Committee, deputy chairman of the European Union Affairs Committee and member of the Emigration Affairs and Poles Abroad Committee.

Married, has one child.
