Deputy to the Fourh and Fifth Term Sejm

Born on 29th April 1964 in Wrocław.
In 1990 graduated in sociology from the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Catholic University of Lublin. In 1995 completed post-graduate studies at the Social Service Centre Warsaw.
1991–1993 – teacher in Lotnicze Zakłady Naukowe (Aviation Scientific Institute) secondary school. Between 1993 and 1998 headed the Dolnośląskie Province Social Assistance Complex in Wrocław; in 1999 was the head of the Social Affairs and Healthcare Department of the Dolnośląskie Province Administration. In 1997 was the representative of the Wrocław Province Governor in charge of social assistance provided to flood victims. Between 1999 and 2001 was deputy chairman of the State Fund for Rehabilitation of the Handicapped in Warsaw. From 2001 to 2004 was director of the Municipal Board of Social Assistance Homes in Wrocław. Since 2007 – secretary of state in the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy of the Republic of Poland, Government Plenipotentiary for Disabled People.
From 1999 to 2004 – deputy to Dolnośląskie Provincial Parliament, 2002–2004 – deputy chairman.
In the Fourth Term Sejm was member of the Social and Family Policy Committee and the Health Committee. In the Fifth Term Sejm – deputy chairman of the Social Policy Committee. In the Seventh Term Senate was member of the Family and Social Policy Committee, Health Committee and the National Defence Committee.
Member of the Civic Platform Party of Poland.
Married, has five children.
