Member of the Fourth, Sixth and Seventh Term Senate

 

Born on 24th August 1953 in Michalinów.
Completed studies at the Warsaw University Territorial Self-Government and Local Development Study Centre.
Between 1974 and 1978, worked as a miner at the "Kazimierz-Juliusz" Hard Coal Mine in Sosnowiec, and between 1982 and 1988 – at Wojskowe Zakłady Motoryzacyjne (Military Automotive Plant) in Zamość. From 1991 to 1997, was an office employee in Zamość Gmina Administration.
Between 2001 and 2005, worked at Gospodarstwo Gruntów Marginalnych i Mieszkaniowe Zasobu Własności Rolnej Skarbu Państwa – a State Treasury agricultural land and residential housing management outlet – in Michałów.
In 1981, became involved with the Solidarity Trade Union of Private Farmers. Was chairman of its Zamość Commune Board. In 1991, became chairman of the Zamość Province Council of the Union. 1992–2006 – secretary of the Union National-Council Presidium. Between 2007 and 2011 chaired the Solidarity Trade Union of Private Farmers. In 2011, reelected chairman of the union. Between 1995 and 2005, represented the Solidarity Trade Union of Private Farmers in the Council of Agencja Restrukturyzacji i Modernizacji Rolnictwa (Agriculture Restructuring and Modernization Agency), serving as its chairman and deputy chairman from 1998 to 2005. Was a delegate to the First Term Lubelska Izba Rolnicza (Lublin Province Agricultural Chamber).
1990 – elected deputy chairman of the Zamość Commune Council; 1994 – elected chairman of the Council. 2002–2005 – deputy to Lublin Provincial Parliament. Served as a member of the Board of Lublin Provincial Parliament.
Chairman of the board of "Kasa Nadziei" Foundation and "Dom Trzeciego Tysiąclecia im. Kardynała Stefana Wyszyńskiego" Foundation in Zamość, deputy chairman of the Association of Friends of "Santa-Gala" Hospice.
In the Fourth Term Senate was member of the Agriculture and Rural Development Committee and the Local Government and Public Administration Committee. In the Sixth Term Senate chaired the Agriculture and Environmental Protection Committee and was member of the Local Government and State Administration Committee. In the Seventh Term Senate chaired the Agriculture and Rural Development Committee and was member of the European Union Affairs Committee.
Member of the Law and Justice political party.
Married, has two children.
