Born on 4th February 1964 in Katowice.
In 1988 graduated in Iranian philology from the Faculty of Philology at the Jagiellonian University. In 1996 graduated from the National School of Public Administration in Warsaw and in 1998 completed postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Management of the Warsaw School of Economics.
Between 1996 and 1998 she was a representative for the Regional Development Strategy of the governor of Katowice Province. Since 1999 until 2007 she held the position of a director at the Marshal Office of the Silesian Province. Since 2007 she has been the Minister of Regional Development.
Has no political party affiliation.
Married, has three children.
