He was born on 19 June 1960 in Niemodlin (Opolskie Voivodeship).
He graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice (specialisation: engineering physics) in 1984. He completed post-graduate studies at the Higher Teacher Education School in Opole (major: IT for technical education teachers) in 1993 and graduated from the Silesian University of Technology (major: teaching mathematics at school) in 2013.
In the period 1984-1985 he worked as quality control specialist at Zakłady Urządzeń Komputerowych MERA-ELZAB (a computer hardware plant) in Zabrze, and between 1986 and 1987, as a physicist at the Megavoltage Radiation Therapy Department of the Voivodeship Hospital Complex in Opole. Subsequently, he worked as a teacher in the upper secondary school in Biała (1987-2013), and since 2013 – in the Continuous and Vocational Training Centre in Prudnik.
Between 1994 and 1998, he was a member of the Prudnik Municipal Council, and between 1998 and 2001 – a member of the Prudnik Poviat Council. In 2006-2014, he was a Councillor of the Opolskie Voivodeship Sejmik.
In the 4 th term Sejm, he served as the Deputy Chairman of the National and Ethnic Minorities Committee.
He is also a member of Stowarzyszenie Ziemia Prudnicka (an association of the Prudnik region).
Member of the Law and Justice party.
