Born on 11th April 1960 in Góra Ropczycka (Podkarpackie Province).
In 1988 graduated from the General Agriculture Faculty of the "Hugo Kołłątaj" Agricultural University in Krakow.
Began professional career in 1981 as mechanic in a sugar refinery in Ropczyce. Starting in 1983 ran a family farm in Góra Ropczycka. Between 1985 and 1989 – manager of an agricultural cooperative in Sędziszów Małopolski, then for three years proprietor of a trade business in Ropczyce. From 1992 to 1997 worked at the local branch of the State Treasury Agricultural Property Agency in Rzeszów. From 2003 was engaged in marketing on behalf of two companies located in Rzeszów –  first Przedsiębiorstwo Robót Elektrycznych i Sanitarnych PREIS (electrical and plumbing installation company), then Przedsiębiorstwo Usługowo-Handlowe Eko-Top (services and trade company). In 2006–2007 was deputy director of the local branch of the State Treasury Agricultural Property Agency in Rzeszów. From 2011 to 2012 was employed in the Province Marshal's Office in Rzeszów, then, till 2013 – in the Dębica Municipial Office.
Between 2002 and 2007 – deputy to Podkarpackie Provincial Parliament.
In the Third Term Sejm (1997–2001) was deputy chairman of the Agriculture and Rural Development Committee and member of the State Control Committee.
In the Seventh Term Senate (2007–2011) was chairman of the Environment Committee, deputy chairman of the  European Union Committee and member of the Agriculture and Rural Development Committee.
Member of the "Eugeniusz Kwiatkowski" Maritime Economic Association based in Gdynia. From 1996 to 1999 was chairman of the Rzeszow Agriculture Chamber.
Activist of the Solidarity Trade Union of Individual Farmers, between 1995 and 2000 was its provincial chairman in Podkarpacie.
Member of the Law and Justice political party.
Married, has three children.
