Senator of the 7 th, 8 th, 9 th and 10 th term Senate

She was born on 2 November 1937 in Warsaw.
In 1958, she graduated from the Faculty of Film Production Organisation and Direction of the Łódź Film School. She obtained the titles of executive
film producer and director.
She worked as an assistant producer on several films directed by Andrzej Munk. In the years 1958-1997, she worked for the Polish Television. She worked as an assistant to the director, a director, the head of the Television Production Department, Vice-President of the TVP, Head of the TVP Team and advisor to the TVP Management Board. In the years 1997-2008, she was the executive and creative director of the Syrena Theatre in Warsaw. She directed and produced more than 200 performances for the Television
Theatre. She worked with the most talented actors, set designers and composers. She originated the idea of launching Telewizja Polonia and making it part of the satellite broadcasting network. She received many prizes, rewards and distinctions.
In the 7 th term Senate, she served as the Deputy Chairperson of the Culture and Media Committee. In the 8 th term, she served as the Deputy Chairperson of the Emigration Affairs and Contacts with Poles Abroad Committee.
In the years 2002-2015, she was the President of the Association of Theatre Directors in Poland. She cooperates with the Polish Humanitarian Action and the ‘Zdążyć z pomocą’ (‘Help in time’) Foundation.
She has no political party affiliation.
