Senator of the 7 th and 10 th term Senate
Deputy to the Sejm of the 7 th term

 

He was born on 14 May 1971 in Zgierz.
In 2001, he graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw, obtaining the title of Master of Laws. He completed post-graduate studies in control and audit and in management, as well as an auditor training.
In 1997-2001, he was the personal secretary of Prime Minister Jerzy Buzek. Since 1993 he has worked with the local government, and until 2006 he held the position of Vice-President of Zgierz.
In the 2007 parliamentary election he won the mandate of Senator on the Civic Platform party ticket; he chaired the Legislation Committee.
In 2009, he was appointed the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Justice. In the same year, President Lech Kaczyński appointed him to the office of Minister of Justice and the Public Prosecutor General in the first ministry of Donald Tusk.
In 2013, he became the President of the Supreme Audit Office, and held this position until August 2019.
He was a member of the Polish Paralympic Committee and the Vice-Chairman of the National Coordinating Commission of the Independent Students’ Association. Former member of the Council for Public Benefit Activities.
He has no political party affiliation.
