Senator of the 10 th term Senate

 

He was born on 4 July 1956 in Kołobrzeg.
He graduated from a building construction technical secondary school and subsequently from the Poznan University of Physical Education, specialising in teaching. In 1996, he completed post-graduate studies at the Wyższa Szkoła Humanistyczna (Humanities University) in Kalisz, obtaining the title of education manager.
He actively played volleyball and football. He was a sports instructor and a manager of sports facilities, a PE teacher. From 1990 until 2006, he was the headmaster of the Henryk Sienkiewicz Schools Complex in Kołobrzeg.
From 1990, he worked at the Kołobrzeg local government. He served as Deputy Chairman and then Chairman of Kołobrzeg City Council. Between 2006 and 2018, he served as President of the City of Kołobrzeg for three terms. In the years 2018-2019, he sat on the Zachodniopomorskie Voivodeship Board.
He was a member of the board of the Association of Polish Cities, the Association of Polish Spa Communities and Pomerania Euroregion for two terms. He is a member of the Committee Monitoring Zachodniopomorskie Voivodeship.
He was awarded the Order of Polonia Restituta Fifth Class, Gold Cross of Merit, Silver Cross of Merit, Honorary Badge of Merit for Local Government, Gold Honorable Medal of West-Pomeranian Griffin.
He is married, has a daughter, a son and two grandchildren.
Member of the Civic Platform party of Poland.
