He was born on 13 February 1959 in Wysokie Mazowieckie.
In 1982, he graduated from the Faculty of Machine Technology and Operation of the Lublin University of Technology, obtaining the degree of Master of Science in Mechanics – major: cars and tractors.
Between 1982 and 1989, he worked as a primary school teacher in Siennica-Lipusy. In 1989, he took over his family-owned agricultural holding. In 2007 and in the period of 2015-2018, he served as the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
In the years 1990-1998, he served as the Voit of Czyżew. Between 1998 and 2005, he served as the Staroste of Wysokie Mazowieckie.
He was active in NSZZ ‘Solidarność’ for individual farms and in the Association of Volunteer Fire Brigades of the Republic of Poland.
Member of the Law and Justice party.
