Born on 18th January 1967 in Ełk.
Graduated from the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology of the University of Warsaw Branch in Białystok in 1990. Completed a post-graduate course at the Institute of Polish Philology of the Pedagogical University in Olsztyn (1997) and in  education administration at the Educational Research Institute of the Ministry of National Education in Warsaw (2001).
1988−1993 – a primary school teacher; 1993–2007 – the head teacher of Local Government Schools in Chechły. 2007−2015 – the head teacher of Primary School No. 2 in Ełk.
2010–2015 – a member of the Management Board of Ełk District Council.
Awarded the honorary title of Education Professor by the Minister of National Education in 2012.
Member of the Solidarity Trade Union and Akcja Katolicka.
Has no political party affiliation.
Married, has two children.
