Member of the Seventh Term Senate

Born on 20th September 1958 in Katowice.
In 1984, graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice.
Worked in the mining industry for many years. Occupied various job positions in coal mines: "Murcki" coal mine in Katowice (1984–1991), "Śląsk" coal mine in Ruda Śląska (1999–2005), "Staszic" coal mine in Katowice (2006–2008). In charge of supervision and control of mining operations to ensure compliance with geological and mining laws at the Mining Office for Control Testing of Power and Mechanical Equipment in Katowice (1991–1998).
In 2006–2008, member of Katowice City Council; 2008–2010 – deputy mayor of Katowice.
Member of the Independent Students' Union 1980 and KNST Marchołt (Independent Artist Associations Club).
In the Seventh Term Senate was member of the Environment Committee, Health Committee and Human Rights, the Rule of Law and Petitions Committee.
Member of the Civic Platform Party of Poland; secretary of the board of Silesian region of the Civic Platform.
Married, has three children.
