Member of the Sixth and Seventh Term Senate
Born on 14th May 1951 in Włocławek.
In 1974, graduated from the Faculty of Law at "Mikołaj Kopernik" University in Toruń and, in 1977, from the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science at Warsaw University.
Worked as a journalist at weekly sports magazines “Razem”, “Sportowiec” and “Mecz”; also TV sports commentator at Polsat Sport, Eurosport and Polish Public TV. 1991–2001 – chairman of the board of directors of "Gasport" and "Person Promotion" advertizing agencies. 1997–2005 – spokesman of the Polish Olympic Committee and of the national team at four Olympic games. Appointed by the Polish Olympic Committee the Olympic attaché of the Polish team for the XXX Olympic Games in London in 2012.
Honorary chairman of the Polish Golf Association. Chairman of the Association of Friends of the Town of Włocławek.
In the Sixth Term Senate was deputy chairman of the Emigration Affairs and Contacts with Poles Abroad Committee, member of the National Defence Committee and the Science, Education and Sports Committee. In the Seventh Term was chairman of the Emigration Affairs and Contacts with Poles Abroad Committee, member of the Culture and Media Committee, Human Rights, the Rule of Law and Petitions Committee and Rules, Ethics and Senatorial Affairs Committee. In the Sixth and Seventh Term chaired the Delegation of the Sejm and the Senate of the Republic of Poland to the Assembly of Western European Union.
Member of the Civic Platform Party of Poland.
Married, has three children.
