Born on 31st January 1965 in Białystok.
In 1989 graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Białystok branch of the University of Warsaw. In 1992 completed the articling programme for judges and legal advisers and passed the licensing examinations.
In 1993–1994 was legal adviser with the Regional Board of the "Solidarity" Trade Union in Białystok. For the next 13 years served as secretary of Białystok Municipal Administration. In 2007 was governor of Podlaskie Province.
Member of the District Chamber of Legal Advisers in Białystok.
In the Seventh Term Senate was deputy chairman of the Legislation Committee and member of the Local Government and State Administration Committee and Subcommittee for Constitutional Amendments.
Member of the Law and Justice political party; member of its political council and member of its province board.
Married, has two children.
