Deputy to the Fifth and Sixth Term Sejm

Born on 24th August 1960 in Pierściec.
In 1986 he graduated from the Faculty of Mining at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow, and in 1998 completed postgraduate studies in public finance management at the University School of Banking and Finance in Katowice.
Between 1986 and 1993 he worked at Przedsiębiorstwo Robót Górniczych (a mining works company) as a deputy manager of the Works Department. 1993 –1998 – chairman of Górnicza Spółdzielnia Mieszkaniowa (a mining housing cooperative) in Cieszyn.
1998–2005 – member of Cieszyn District Council, and since 1999 until 2005 – deputy administrator of the district.
He is a charity worker at numerous organizations, e.g. “Otwarte Drzwi” hospice in Cieszyn and “Habitat for Humanity” in Gliwice.
In the Fifth Term Sejm was a deputy chairman of the Standing subcommittee on craftsmanship and services, and was a member of the following committees: the Local Government and Regional Policy Committee, the Entrepreneurship Development Committee, Legislative Committee and the Social Policy Committee. He has also had a seat in the standing committee for local self-government finance. In the Sixth Term Sejm, he worked in the following committees: Infrastructure Committee, Family and Social Policy Committee, Constitutional Responsibility Committee, Economy Committee and the standing subcommittee for construction, spatial and housing management.
He is a member of the Civic Platform Party of Poland and its district board.
Married, has three children.
