Born on 4th June 1947 in Łódź.
In 1971 graduated in Polish philology from the Faculty of Philology at the University of Lodz.
Since 1971 until 1978 he worked in the Central Museum of Textiles in Łódź and between 1978 and 1979 – in the “Anilana” factory. 1979–1992 – office manager and later, chairman of a centre at the Society for the Promotion of Physical Culture in Łódź. Since 1992 he has been holding a position of director at the Tourist Information Office in this town. 2009–2011 – adviser for cultural heritage to the governor of Łódzkie Province. Since 1994 he has been hosting a weekly programme entitled "Filmowa encyklopedia Łodzi i regionu" (A movie encyclopedia of Łódź and the region) on the TVP Łódź channel. An author of numerous works related to this subject area.
1999–2003 and 2010–2011 – deputy to Łódzkie Provincial Parliament.
He is the chairman of the Friends of Łódź Association, a member of PTTK (Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society) and Bractwo Piwne (Beer Brotherhood).
Has no political party affiliation.
Married, has one child.
